Callipo Tuna was founded in 1913 by Giacinto Callipo in Calabria, Italy. For more than 100 years, they have been considered one of the best-canned tuna brands in the country. In 1926, Callipo was even named the official supplier to the Royal Household, and in 2014, Italy issued a commemorative stamp celebrating the Italian tuna brand. Callipo attributes their success to their guiding principle that quality food is “a way of being.”
